R Mamonluk Quiapo Manila

ive been hearing great feedbacks about the dishes in this restaurant. the store had been there for ages already and been wanting to try to eat here but its always jampacked and i also thought that the food here is pricey. then when given the chance to eat here i brought my mom with me. ive seen that they also have a branch in quezon city. but this one is from quiapo manila, near the quiapo church. we tried the signature mami ,siopao and siomai.

i dreamt of eating here because few restaurants from way back are still operating until now. while entering i feel like ive been in old manila. such a great memorable experience.

the mami is very tasty. very affordable too. the serving for one is big. no aircon just a fan from way back before the store is built. i like the ambience , i feel like ive been to the spanish / old era. very homey.

while waiting for our food to be served, i took photos of the store  like the news clippings from way back. the who's who in our country who ate here.  the staff are nice and i love their uniforms simplicity. most of the customers comes from different places as well. how did i know? they took photos of the food, the store and they are with their friends/loveones. some are regular customer as the staff knows them well.
